The students in the group who decided to raise money with a bake sale decided to give items to Biasan (Bradford Immigration and Asylum Seekers Support and Advice Network). Richard Hargreaves went to the class to receive the donations

Social Action

We have been super busy this term in Youth Council, we have thought about who we’d like to help in the community, decided we’d like to help refugees & met with Craven District of Sanctuary to think about how we could help!

We’ve baked, ran a cake sale Skipton Library raised and incredible £113 and we went shopping to B&Ms to buy blankets to help people feel “warm and fuzzy like my blanket does for me when I get home from school” and last night we welcomed Richard from Biasan to donate the products to people who will benefit from them!

We’ve also been reflecting on how it feels to help other people!
