We are invited each year now to have a stand at the college fair aimed at new students. This year Chris Rose & Stella Perrott did the honours. It was very busy with many students stopping to talk. They were able to offer the fact sheet produced annually by Stella, plus this year a Q&A of popular issues as a ‘myth buster’.

Stella said: “Judging by the number of leaflets we handed out, we must have talked to about 180 students, some in 2s and 3s, others individually. Most thought they knew little about refugees. The vast majority were supportive and would want to be welcoming. It was a lovely (and reaffirming) afternoon.”

It is very encouraging to be asked to participate in college events. Many thanks to Victoria Alderson, Enrichment Officer, who organises everything so well.
