30 people gathered outside the Town Hall in Skipton on 27th January 2023 to stand in silence as commemoration of those who suffered and died in the Holocaust of World War II. 

Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Darfur were also mentioned in a brief speech from Richard Hargreaves of Grassington Peace Group.

Those present made it clear they would like this to become an annual event with more publicity next year.

Other areas may hold vigils as well next time.
